Easy & Delicious Brown Sugar Cold Foam Cold Brew

Oh boy, I’ve got a good one for you today. Sometimes it’s the simplest recipes that are the best and this one proves that to be true. If you love the brown sugar shaken espresso from Starbucks or even the copycat recipe I have here on the blog, then you are going to L.O.V.E. this drink and this brown sugar cold foam. This is going to be in my regular rotation, for sure.

I do put the brown sugar cold foam on top of a simple cold brew with vanilla syrup (my homemade recipe). You can put this on top of any drink you want, whether it’s the perfect topper to your brown sugar shaken espresso or just black coffee or cold brew. I don’t like plain cold brew, so I added some vanilla syrup to mine, but you could use anything here. The brown sugar cold foam is the star of the show and what we are focusing on here.

Brown Sugar Cold Foam Cold Brew Ingredients:

You won’t need much for this one and you probably have most of it (if not all of it) at home. Let’s get this party started.

  • Cold Brew Coffee – I’m a big fan of Stok Cold Brew for my cold brew. I even did a cold brew taste test and tried a bunch of different brands to determine my personal favorite. You can read that post here. Use your favorite, make your own, use iced coffee, or even make an Americano (espresso shots with water).
  • Vanilla Syrup – I sweetened my cold brew with my homemade three ingredient vanilla syrup. Check out that recipe here. Why make my own? I prefer the flavor and less fillers/ ingredients.
  • Heavy Cream – I have not found a way to make the cold foam without heavy cream. So, if you’re going for dairy free, know that it could change the texture, but taste will still be amazing.
  • Milk of choice – I’ve successfully used all types of milk here. Today it’s cashew milk.
  • Brown Sugar – Yup, just good ‘ol plain brown sugar. I used dark brown sugar, you could use light if that’s what you have. It doesn’t matter, you need just one tablespoon here. Don’t have any? Ask a neighbor, order from Instacart, do what you gotta do, friends, this coffee is worth it, TRUST ME.
  • Ice – Yes. Must have ice. Cold brew should have ice. I will not take any alternative opinions on this at this time.

Tools Needed To Make Your Coffee:

I started getting lots of messages on the items I use in my videos, so to make it easier for you, I’m including lists of what I use in my posts. Feel free to find your new favorite coffee tool or glass here, or let it inspire you to use something you already have.
