As soon as I saw that Dutch Bros released their holiday drinks, including my favorite holiday drink of all time – the Candy Cane Mocha, I got in my car and hit the road. Not only did I want to say hello to my favorite winter coffee beverage, but I also wanted to try their new holiday Winter Shimmer Rebel drink, a shimmery, fruity, soda that looked similar to the recent Blue Oasis Dirty Soda, that is so good, everyone in your car will fight over it. And, of course they brought back the iconic Hazelnut Truffle Mocha, which is another don’t miss drink.
In addition to trying the new delicious drinks, I was also pleasantly surprised by their holiday cup design, as well as new red and white striped straws! It was such a much needed, festive, pick-me-up, and a great start to what I hope will be a magical holiday season.
So, if you’re looking for your new favorite holiday coffee drink, or even something new to try at Dutch, keep reading to find out more about each drink to find the right one for you.
8 Groovy Dutch Bros Holiday Drinks:
1. Candy Cane Mocha:
Even though I usually prefer cold brew based drinks, I ordered this as an iced Candy Cane Mocha, which is made with espresso shots, peppermint syrup, chocolate milk, and topped with soft top and the peppermint candy crushed topping. It’s so good and I love it. I do prefer the cold brew version, though, which you can still order. And, if you’d like to make a peppermint mocha at home, check out my homemade version which is also delicious.
2. Candy Cane Cold Brew:
The holiday drink of my dreams! This one is, in a word, perfection. Cold brew, peppermint syrup, chocolate milk, and ice are mixed together and topped with soft top and the crushed peppermint candy topping. Trust me, if you like these flavors together, or even separately, this is the holiday drink to get!
3. Winter Shimmer Rebel:
We all loved this! You can also order this with a lemonade base or a soda base (plain soda water). The Rebel is the energy drink that Dutch makes in house, so it has a high amount of caffeine and does add a small flavor. I also ordered this as a soda and it was even better, in my opinion, and makes a tasty non-caffeinated option. They use their shimmery simple syrup here (also shared in the drinks in this post), along withe blue raspberry syrup and sweet cream with soft top and shimmer sprinkles. In my opinion, and everyone in the car agreed with me, this is a must try drink this holiday season.
4. Hazelnut Truffle Mocha:
Calling all hazelnut lovers! Don’t miss the best hazelnut drink you can order at any coffeehouse. Order it iced or hot, either way it comes with hazelnut syrup, chocolate milk, espresso shots and soft top with caramel drizzle. Because Dutch Bros uses chocolate milk and espresso, instead of chocolate sauce, milk, and espresso shots, it has a creamy, chocolatey flavor that is the hallmark of Dutch Bros mocha drinks. It’s definitely a drink to try for mocha lovers.
5. Blended Holiday Drink: Hazelnut Truffle Mocha Blended Freeze:
If you love blended coffee drinks, then you’ve gotta try their new Hazelnut Truffle Mocha Blended Freeze. Made with espresso, hazelnut syrup, chocolate milk, and their freeze base, blended up and topped with soft top and caramel drizzle. Don’t miss this delightful holiday drink!
6. Hazelnut Truffle Mocha Cold Brew:
They’ve expanded the drink offerings for the Hazelnut Truffle Mocha and added this cold brew version as well. You could have ordered these before, I’m sure, but it’s always nice to see the marketing for it. Similar flavors as the other drinks, but this one is cold brew based, so you’ll get less chocolate milk, but same flavor profile.
2 Non-Caffeinated Dutch Bros Holiday Drinks:
I love to see the non-caffeinated additions. Before Christmas, we have a family tradition of getting or making hot cocoas and then driving around to see Christmas lights every night for the week leading up to Christmas. I definitely plan to check out these new cocoa drinks.
7. Hazelnut Truffle Hot Cocoa:
This sounds amazing. Hazelnut syrup and chocolate milk are mixed and then it’s topped with soft top and caramel drizzle. Sign me up!
8. Candy Cane Hot Cocoa:
My favorite drink in hot cocoa form? Say less, I’m on my way! Peppermint syrup and chocolate are mixed and then it’s topped with soft top and candy cane sprinkles. Yum!
