In my last post, I shared my favorite syrups and sauces and toasted marshmallow syrup made the list. That made me realize that I haven’t shared my s’mores latte recipe on the blog yet! How is that possible? It’s so easy and delicious. If you’re a fan of mochas, then you’ll love the little flavor kick that the toasted marshmallow adds to it.
And, the good news is, this is a really easy, unfussy drink to make. I saw some other s’mores recipes online and they have actual toasted marshmallows and all kinds of fancy toppings. Those look great in pictures, and probably taste great, too, but mama ain’t got no time to roast marshmallows to stick in her coffee. I need to get that flavor profile in a quicker, easier way – you feel me?
That’s where great syrups and sauces packed full of flavor come in. Here’s what you’ll need to make this drink:
Iced S’mores Latte: Ingredients
- KYYA Toasted Marshmallow Syrup – This really has a toasted flavor. It’s delicious! Makes it so much easier to use this than to toast marshmallows, right? Get 10% off your KYYA order with my code: WHATTHEFROTHKYYA10
- KYYA Mocha Sauce – This single origin chocolate sauce is the perfect consistency and blends with the warm espresso shots quickly. I love that KYYA has shorter, cleaner ingredient lists. You can use whatever chocolate sauce you have for this, though.
- Vanilla syrup – You can use any vanilla syrup you have on hand. I didn’t have any so I made some quickly using my recipe. It’s a 1:1:1 sugar to water to vanilla extract ratio. I use organic sugar. Then simmer, do not boil, until combined. Pour into a bottle. Refrigerate. Get all the details in this recipe.
- Double Espresso Nespresso Pod – You’ll need two shots of espresso for this and I like using my Nespresso with a double espresso pod. There are a couple different double espresso pods I really like. The first is the Chiaro double espresso pod, which I buy in bulk on Amazon. The second is the Starbucks blonde roast espresso pod, you’ll need to use 2 of them to get a double shot.
- Milk of choice – Use whatever milk you like here. Almond and coconut do change the flavor, but only slightly. The barista oatmilk is the absolute best, but now that I know how unhealthy oatmilk is, I’m trying to avoid it. Boo.
- Heavy Cream – Most of the cold foam will be made with heavy cream.
- Toppings – I crushed up half a graham cracker.
Tools You’ll Need:
- Nespresso Vertuo Machine – This is what I use to make my shots. I’ve had my Nespresso for almost eight years! You can make espresso shots however you like.
- Milk Frother – My favorite go-to frother.
