‘Tis the season for cardigans, holiday movies and hot coffee by the fireplace. If you’ve recently unwrapped a sparkly new Nespresso machine – welcome to the club! The Nespresso machine is a true innovation for quick, fresh coffee at home. You can make all sorts of delicious recipes in an instant, using their variety of Nespresso pods.
So, today, we are sharing some of our favorite, classic Nespresso recipes that will warm you up and make the most of that snappy new machine on your counter.
From the classic latte to a peppermint mocha you’ll want to drink all year long (and you can), let’s take a look at these delicious and piping hot Nespresso recipes.
Our Nespresso Vertuoline Machine:
Just FYI, we make our recipes with the luxe, retro Nespresso Vertuoline machine. We grabbed the bundle with the Aeroccino milk frother and it is our absolute favorite frother and we use it all the time. We even shared a recipe with how we make vanilla cold foam with it that tastes like coffeehouse foam. Delish. If you’re looking for the perfect Nespresso machine – check out this post with the 9 best ones ranked.
You can make these recipes using any Nespresso machine and it’s matching pods, though.
Some things we love about the Nespresso machine is how fresh it tastes compared to other similar machines. Also, their pods are recycle through their program, so less waste in the landfills. We also like all of the accessories that you can get, like this pod organizer tray that also lifts the machine up a little, too. And, of course, the money you save. With all things considered, your fancy Nespresso coffee might cost you $1-$2 each, which is a definite savings from the $5-$8 you’ll spend driving through your local coffee shop. If you do decide to purchase a similar machine through our links, we will make a commission at no cost to you. Cheers to that win win, friends!
Now, without further ado, get your favorite mug and your coffee pod of choice and get ready to whip up a delicious drink.
7 Best Hot Nespresso Recipes:
To make these recipes, you’ll need your Nespresso machine, milk of choice, some syrups – such as this trio of white chocolate, chocolate and caramel syrups, any homemade syrups, such as our vanilla, cinnamon and brown sugar syrups and you’re ready to go!
Sub out any ingredients for one you might prefer more or add some to make it your own. For example, turn the cappuccino into a vanilla cappuccino with just a tbsp or two of the vanilla syrup!
Nespresso Cappuccino:
The first real coffee I ever had was a simple cappuccino. A classic, all around the world, with it’s perfect combination of coffee, milk and foam. See how to make one at home with your Nespresso here:

Is the latte the most popular coffee drink of all time? Perhaps it is! Starbucks certainly says their vanilla latte is the all-time bestseller world-wide. Make your own at home here:

Nespresso Mocha Mint Latte:
I’m a big sucker for mint coffees – like Starbucks Peppermint Mocha. Make one at home using this recipe:

Hold the phone (and that $5), you can make holiday faves at home now – saving the trip, the bundling up in 14 layers of clothes, the waiting in the long line and the cost.
How to make it:
- Bring milk of choice to a boil
- Add cut up slice of gingerbread
- Add tsp of maple syrup
- When it’s all mixed together, add it to your brewed coffee of choice

- Enjoy!
*For gingerbread flavor without a gingerbread slice, heat milk in frother with simple spices, like our homemade cinnamon syrup and some ginger seasoning.
Classic Nespresso Mocha:
How to make it:
- Add chocolate syrup or squares to cup
- Brew favorite coffee pod over the chocolate to help it dissolve
- Heat and froth milk of choice 100 ml of milk of choice with your Aeroccino
- Pour frothed milk on top of coffee/chocolate mixture
- Sprinkle with cocoa
- Optional: Add tbsp of vanilla syrup too, to make it taste like Starbucks!
Nespresso Caramel Coffee Macchiato:
I have to say, Starbucks Caramel Macchiato is my go-to hot drink. I tend to drink iced coffee for most of the year, but I do switch when it’s truly frigid outside and I have to be out in the elements shuffling kids to school and activities. Although I order my machiattos “upside down” (helps them mix better and makes them sweeter), I also love making my own at home and this is my go-to recipe:
How to make it:
- Heat & froth 3 oz milk of choice
- Add ½ oz caramel syrup
- Optional: Add some vanilla syrup – to make it taste just like Starbucks!
- Brew your favorite coffee pod
- Add hot milk of choice
- Top with froth made from your Aerocino
- Garnish with caramel syrup
- Enjoy!
