DEVELOPING NEWS! Starbucks has brought back the pistachio latte and pistachio frappuccino. I don’t know about you, but I love pistachios and anything with pistachio, like pistachio ice cream. I even had some pistachio gelato recently that was bomb.com. So, when I walked in Starbucks yesterday and saw the big picture saying they were back – I knew exactly what I was ordering.
If you are a bit unsure of what exactly a pistachio drink would taste like, it’s a bit like vanilla with a little bit of a nutty flavor to it. It’s sweet and smooth and delicious.
Let’s take a look at the new drinks, including some pics of my very own drink. Will you be able to resist jumping in your car and racing to your nearest Starbucks? We shall see 😉
The Pistachio Frappuccino:
Since I’ve had the latte, I was really interested in trying the pistachio frappuccino this time. It was like a grown up vanilla frappuccino. It had a similar taste, but with an edge, so it’s not so much like vanilla ice cream. It’s hard to describe, but it’s good. The barista told me it was “sweet” and while I generally enjoy my frappuccinos on the sweeter side, I did not think it was too sweet.
In fact, I recently tried their sugar cookie latte and that was too sweet for me and I very rarely say that. So, if you’re concerned about the pistachio between sweet like the sugar cookie – I’ve got good news for you: it’s not.
According to Starbucks, the Pistachio Frappuccino is made with Frappuccino® Roast coffee and milk blended with pistachio sauce. Finished with whipped cream and a brown-buttery topping. Listen to me: get the brown buttery topping. It’s magic.

The latte is the most popular drink in America – so why shouldn’t they unveil a pistachio version? This delectable beverage is made with Starbucks espresso, steamed milk, pistachio sauce and a brown-buttery topping.

To try the new pistachio latte, head to your nearest Starbucks. Just remember to customize with your choice of milk, temperature and any other additions.
So, your order might sound like, “Hot oatmilk pistachio latte with whip.” Usually, if you change the dairy, they don’t put the whip unless you request it, just FYI. #It’sAllAboutTheWhip
The pistachio latte is available hot or iced, with any of their current milk options. Whip and topping are optional, but you need them in your life. Trust.
