When I heard the news that Dutch Bros had dropped two new drinks – it took me 2.5 seconds to grab my bag, get in my car and get down there.
So, if you are a big fan of trying new drinks and you love Dutch Bros as much as I do, then keep reading – because I’m going to tell you all about the Daydream Rebel and Orange Groove Cold Brew. Yum.
The Daydream Rebel with Soft Top:
I’ve been majorly digging on the Rebels lately. It’s already warming up out here in Cali and the Rebels are basically like adult slushies. So good. Plus, there’s a million flavors, so you can definitely find one that works for you.
While I recently shared the most delicious Rebel I’ve ever had, I’m still open to dating around and trying new things, so I was excited to try the Daydream with Soft Top.
For one thing, I never get soft tops on Rebel, because I honestly thought it was a big weird to put it on a Rebel. But, in the interest of being open-minded, I decided to get it exactly as designed without any modifications.
The verdict? DELICIOUS. The soft top gives it a bit of a cream soda vibe. But, the mix of elderflower and passionfruit Rebel flavors has a bit of a sour patch kids taste to it. It’s definitely a bit on the tart side and then the creamy, sweet soft top cuts the sour and gives it a sweet note. The two together are a really happy marriage and I definitely recommend getting it exactly as ordered.
For a sweeter Rebel flavor, get this one instead.
The Orange Groove Cold Brew:
I was not super sure about this one, because I do not typically light fruit flavors mixed with coffee. I’m the same weirdo that doesn’t like fruit with chocolate, either (keep your orange chocolates to yourself, please). But, again, I wanted to bring you an honest opinion of this drink, so I ordered it mostly as designed, except I changed out the Breve (their half ‘n half mixture) for oat milk, because I’m dairy intolerant #sorrynotsorry.
If you’re not the Breve at DB is deliciously creamy and good, so go for it. This drink also comes standard with the soft top, which you know I over on my DB drinks. In fact, I talk about in my post on the best iced coffees at DB and the Campout Cold Brew review.
Clearly, I feel really strongly about the soft top. It’s good, friends.
But, I know why you’re here – how is the Orange Groove Cold Brew? I gotta say – it’s DELICIOUS! The orange flavor is VERY mild and really just gives the whole drink a really refreshing vibe and flavor. It doesn’t overtly taste like orange, but it lightens up the coffee flavor a bit. The black sugar also doesn’t make a very noticeable impact on the flavor, but plays very nicely with all of the ingredients.
I really loved this drink and will absolutely be ordering it again (maybe today? hmmm….). So, if you like refreshing cold brew based drinks with some sweetness and creaminess, I definitely recommend this one, too.

Dutch Bros continues to impress with their drink lineup. They are always adding new drinks, plus they will make any customization you want. Their enormous collection of syrup flavors, including sugar-free options, gives you endless options for making your own combo, too.
